THE PROJECT

ATO SENSO is a massive multiplayer Play to Earn simulation and strategy video game.

The game takes place in the 3 main periods of World History: Antiquity; Modern Period; Contemporary Period.

It stands out for its innovative business model, based on collections of the unique cards illustrated by renowned artists.

These cards offer increased power to your skills (development, science, military, …), and for some collections, are also the unique artistic properties under NFT contract.

These cards can be earned while playing and can also be purchased online.

Passionate about video games and very sensitive to the virtues of NFT within the art industry, we thought about a different economic offer, based on the values concentrated around art and culture.

Thus ATO SENO offers a competitive and playful vision of the game, by providing its players with : 

  • A rich and dynamic historical encyclopedia on the great historical facts of our History for the players who want to learn: the CULTURE BOX
  • A sustainable and attractive economy for players who want to get rich

So how does this transform?

We see today that players can buy unique artifacts for their character; or, participate in “DeFi” type events in order to enhance their passive or active financial return within video games.

As gamers, we don’t consider it worthwhile to spend money on a gun or a hat.

The market for skins is strong, and it’s great fun to have a unique avatar or piece of armor to stand out; but we want to take it a step further.

We don’t see players being able to access the game only if they have NFT items.

The game is Free to Play and incorporates a rich Play2(L)earn economy that is at the players’ fingertips, along with its Historical knowledge base.

What is the Play2(L)earn ? 

Through the NFT it is possible to offer the exclusive access to a cultural space that is regularly updated on the character or the monument represented in visual via its CULTURE BOX.

The CULTURE BOX is a real knowledge base, made of articles, podcasts and videos. It is also a space for live sharing of the artist’s developments of the NFT and its news (meeting, opening, exhibition …) as well as a privileged membership card of the community ATO SENSO with its advantages (events, contests, gifts …).

Everyone will play and enjoy the game equally !

To succeed in this challenge, ATO SENSO will also propose a catalog of cards supported by the art industry and will allow itself to value this market and its artists in return.

So we opened an artistic partnership with painters, illustrators, sculptors, architects… and we create an NFT offer together with double added value :

  • First of all, to offer unique playing cards that are true works of art
  • Second, the profitability of these cards is doubly enhanced by the game, and by the artists’ rating

Example: your favorite cartoonist can draw one or more cards in one copy (Napoleon, Michael Angel, Notre Dame de Paris)

He is already rated as an artist, so this NFT card will be valued according to the economy of the game and thanks to the artist’s rating according to the criteria of art market experts.

Thus, ATO SENSO involves you in the development of the notoriety of artists and the appearance of Digital Art in a sustainable and fair way.

Some of the sales income in full size or in part will be donated to associations for the enhancement, defense and reconstruction of local and national heritage.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is articulated around several axes:

  • To share our passion for the game and our experience in the development of the Blockchain, while participating in the appearance of art in digital and in general.
  • Redrawing our universe through the outline of history
  • To develop a hybrid game system based on the great successes of its fathers, combining development games and card games.
  • Invent an artistic universe and enhance it through partnerships with artists.
  • Gather and interact with the communities of all stakeholders, to prepare for the launch of the game.

OUR VISION

ATO SENSO was created with the desire to revisit the universe of strategy and conquest simulation video games, by combining two naturally related aspects : 

  • a fun and historical gaming approach 
  • a high value-added Blockchain environment

Our belief is laid in the transformation of our real lives into the virtual.

Moreover, we are motivated by the creation of a model of a fair and rewarding sphere through cultural and participatory merit. The combination with artistic, unique and dedicated NFTs offers significant revenue opportunities, baked up by the competition and the popular desire to relive or remake history.

Our approach is still unexplored among Play To Earn games, and takes advantage of the synergy of important communities (gamers, investors, art lovers, history buffs,…).

It is also motivated to open these millions of players, and collectors, to the world of blockchain.

TARGET AND MARKETS

First of all, we target  players of management simulation games, and players of conquest games (Civilization, Age of Empire, Total War, Crusader Kings, Forge of Empire, Grow Empire: Rome…).

Our second target is the population that is already interested in the NFT markets as well as the artists’ communities naturally turned towards this new El Dorado.

We are also counting on the participation of history buffs.

In order to create a dynamic community and a prosperous framework in all aspects, the game will be addressed to the world in English and French, initially, and open to all age groups.

To succeed in this challenge, we collaborate with Game and Rules, the first legal expertise firm that works on the elaboration of the legal framework of minors in e-sport and social networks dedicated to the GAMER community in France and in French-speaking countries.

General context

“Panem and Cirsenses”

Since ancient times, the game has been the common property of mankind, a factor of social link and wealth.

The entry of humanity in the Internet era has increased this state of affairs tenfold for millions of individuals.

Play to Earn On-Line games have been around for a long time. Online Casinos, Poker, Mini-games … allowing anyone to play with simple concepts and win gifts, or money.

A major shift in this business model has appeared since the advent of massive multiplayer games (MMORPGs). 

In the race to become the most competitive, players buy artifacts to shorten their farming time.

Some misguided players have brought the gaming community and the developers together to close the doors.

With trust established, communities are thinking of ways to secure their new world themselves.

Smart contracts are the answer to the problems of fraud to solve the difficulties mentioned previously. Inviolable and decentralized, they are the emergence of NFT technologies.

This Win-Win economic model opens the Pandora’s box offering to all the players to become competitive by the simple merit of participation.

And what is more important, to get rich.

We can see then:

  • The explosion of NFTs and the very active projects linked to them
  • Dazzling growth in less than a year
  • A growing number of projects that are only in the development stage and yet are generating millions in volume. 

Video Game Market

Representing more than $300 billion with 2.7 billion gamers (or ⅓ of the world’s population), the video game industry now weighs more than the music and movie industries combined.

In constant growth, the number of players will reach out to 3 billion by 2023.

As a digital development model, the video game industry is the source of major innovations and the natural testing platform for new technologies and everyday applications: AI, VR, virtual living rooms, 3D real estate agencies, driving simulations. 

With the explosion of Smartphone use the game is out of the house, it is in the bus, in the queues, the meetings, in the toilets. 

“Never without my SMART”

As the preferred gaming platforms are still the PC and the console, it is essential to link the two in order to optimize players’ revenues, so we are naturally moving towards a cross-platform compatible technology.

What is Important, we are finally witnessing a resurgence of games focused on cognitive development and sometimes also on culture.

It is relevant to add the Art Market to the list of these offers, that is still too little explored.

Art Market

As all the players in this market point out, “Art is escaping from the auction rooms.”

First dredged up by online sales platforms, democratizing this opaque and insider-only sector, social networks have allowed the appearance of new artists.

In the wake of this, we saw growing interest in unknown artists showcasing their work on YouTube channels, their Instagram accounts, or their Pinterest portfolio.

Painters, sculptors, photographers, inventors, singers, composers, cosplayers… The limit imposed by man and his inability to be everywhere at once has been crossed.

Of course, these new artists do not yet have the notoriety of Michelangelo or Picasso, but all things considered, during their lifetime, they are already much more famous and followed than when they started.

Thus, thanks to the opening of borders through digital technology, the democratization of technological tools, and to make sense of new money-making opportunities for artists and work owners, the NFT race is on. 

Artists, investors, buyers, they all are rushing to the new markets to ensure their place among the first, and bring their stone to their building.

GAME RULES

GOALS:

The main objective of the game is to accumulate as many experience points as possible. 

These experience points will be reinvested in the development of your cities, buildings, populations and units.

By winning and succeeding in your missions you accumulate victory points that define the ranking between players. The ranking of the players is public. 

How to get power?

There are several ways to get power points:

  • The purchase of cards
  • The conquest and defense of territories
  • Exploiting its territories

Card market

Players can sell or trade their cards in a free marketplace, regardless of experience or score.

Cards: quantity and quality 

The card consists of 3 elements: 

  • The photo 
  • The text 
  • Power table

There are five types of cards:

  • Heroes cards
  • Unit cards
  • Buildings cards
  • Officer’s cards
  • Equipment cards 

Character and unit cards can evolve and acquire additional bonuses and skills.

Attack and defense

Attack and defense are based on the cards involved and their combined powers. 

If an attack is successful, the winner gets the targeted territory and a bonus of experience points. 

If the defender wins the duel, he gains the number of experience points equivalent to the power of the armies involved.

Territory Expansion

The territory owned is the territory free, or conquered from the occupied enemy, by the player’s units. If buildings are built there, it is exploited and scores points.

Diplomacy and Communication

Each connected player can attack and be attacked; in case of disconnection, the player’s status changes to “sleepy” and can be attacked and conquered except for his capital. A capital can only be taken in the case where players are fighting ON-LINE.

Players can join any player or group of players. 

They have a one-to-one chat and alliances have a channel that they can open at any time. 

There is also access to a public forum regrouping all the players present in the game for mutual aid and conviviality.

Ages & Universes

The universe of “ATO SENSO” is divided into three eras, with their units, their heroes, their buildings.

  • Contemporary Era : since 1914
  • Modern period : from 1492 to 1914
  • Ancient period : from the Bronze Age to 1492 (Antiquity and Middle Ages)

Each universe can be played in closed mode (only units from the same universe can fight each other) or in open mode (the player chooses the filter of units that can fight him).

The game is played on a three month season system, one month of play per era. Players who join a season late will be propelled to the current era and will receive a city and units corresponding to the current period. Each new season is a new beginning, but previously earned or acquired rare and NFT cards will still be usable in the corresponding period of future seasons.

Ex: I won mission successes and unlocked Genghis Khan, I won’t be able to play with him during the Modern and Contemporary periods, but I will be able to use him again next season during the Ancient period with the stats he had during my previous season.

TOKENOMIE

The word Tokenomics is the contraction of Token and Economy and means “the economic model of the Token”. Its implementation is a way for us to offer new perspectives in video games.

The token economy is an ecosystem supported by the holding of coins or NFTs. Thus, it allows various possible interactions, such as:

  • The acquisition of real digital assets.
  • Balancing, democratizing and energizing pay-for-play
  • Create a new artistic offer with high added value to card collectors.
  • Provide passive income to investors and businesses supporting the game

The first step in building such an economy is to create a community that supports the principles of ATO SENSO. 

The more the community is listened to, involved and taken into account, the more stable and growing the value of NFTs and corners.

Minor players (under 18 YEARS)

In the context of Play to Earn games and the acquisition of tokens, i.e. virtual money, we have opted for the implementation of a Parental Wallet with their self-declared authorization at the creation of the player profile.

GLOSSARY

Burn: financial term for the destruction of tokens 

Bunties: external partners in charge of communication on their social networks 

Farming :  term that refers to the use of a repeated attack or the prolonged occupation of a place, in order to get a specific reward: reputation, experience, virtual money, items, etc.

NFT : a non-fungible token. It is a valued data that represents a digital object such as an image, a video, an audio file, to which is attached a digital identity that is linked to a set of owners.

In-Game : Meaningful term in the game.

Play To Earn : Play2Earn (play-to-earn) refers to the game concept in which a platform offers its players a chance to earn any form of in-game assets that can be transferred into the real world as a valuable resource.

TMW : Name of the SENSO ATO Token

Token : A token is a financial instrument used by companies to raise funds through an ICO (Initial Coin Offering).

Tokenomie : Contraction of Token and Economy; this term means “the economic model of the Token”.

LEGAL NOTES

The legal dimension must be taken into account in all aspects of the project. The stakes are major and multiple. The specificity of the project, the integration of artists from all over the world, requires us to be even more vigilant than other players in the NFT market.

ATO SENSO has therefore integrated and validated, in collaboration with specialized legal firms, contracts that take into account the interests of the NFT purchasers, in particular the interoperability of NFT with metaverse, the right to represent and use NFT in metaverse, copyright, etc… 

CONCEPT OF RISKS

Because the NFT market is so volatile, we wanted to limit the risks to NFT cardholders while providing clarity on the nature of the risks we have identified :

(CULTURE BOX) : New concept. 

Collection risk: We have capitalized on the project to ensure that the collection will be successful, but the NFT market is still nascent and volatile.

Execution risk : We surround ourselves with internal teams and external experts to ensure the operational success of the game, rich content with good gameplay.
